aesthetic Robert O. Detweiler, DO

Dr. Robert Detweiler is one of the founding physicians of Detweiler Family Medicine. He completed his residency at Suburban General Hospital and is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Detweiler is on staff at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital, Abington Memorial Hospital, Grandview Hospital, and Mercy Suburban Hospital. He has served  as chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital for two terms. Dr. Detweiler is a Medical Director for two area nursing homes and one area hospice organization. He is an Aviation Medical Examiner performing medical examinations for commercial and private pilots. Dr. Detweiler is trained in aesthetic medicine which offers numerous innovative cosmetic procedures. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. He has also served as a delegate to the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. Dr. Detweiler has been married for over eighteen years and has three teenage sons. When not working, Dr. Detweiler enjoys traveling, scuba diving, skiing, tennis, and golf.

 
aesthetic Michael T. Parke, DO

Dr. Michael Parke was born and raised in the North Penn area, having graduated from North Penn High School and Penn State University. He worked for several years in research at Merck & Co. before attending medical school in Miami Florida. After completing his family medicine residency with the St. Luke’s Hospital system, he practiced medicine for several years as a family physician with the United States Air Force, at Macdill AFB in Tampa Florida. In 2006, he returned to the North Penn area to practice medicine. In addition to his daily hours at DFM, he serves as Medical Director at St Mary Manor in Lansdale, and cares for patients at several local nursing homes. Dr. Parke is highly skilled in caring for patients of all ages from newborn to the elderly. His compassion for medicine and outstanding bedside manner are quickly evident, as many have proclaimed after their first visit. He is an active member in several local, state and national medical societies. In his personal time, Dr Parke enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, and running.

 
aesthetic Stephanie D. Shearer, DO

Dr. Stephanie Shearer, is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia PA where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology. She received her doctorate from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete her internship and residency in Family Medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown PA. She is board certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

 
aesthetic James B. Hutchings, DO.

Dr. James Hutchings is the newest physician at Detweiler Family Medicine. He is a 2005 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and recently completed his Family Medicine residency at UMDNJ-SOM in New Jersey. Dr. Hutchings is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners, and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. His research study, “Lifestyle Factors in Knee Osteoarthritis Management”, won second place at the March 2008 National ACOFP Convention in Denver, CO. Dr. Hutchings is married and has a young son. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, bike riding, golfing, skiing, watching Philadelphia sports teams, and traveling.

 
aesthetic Christine M. Sabatino, MSN, CRNP, ANP-BC, GNP-BC

Christine Sabatino has been a nurse practitioner at Detweiler Family Medicine since October 2007. Christine completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2002 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing where she was a Hillman Family Foundation Scholar. She began her nursing career as an obstetric staff nurse at New York University Medical Center and an oncology nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In 2006, Christine returned to Philadelphia and completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2007 at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, earning both the John A. Hartford Master’s Scholar honor and the Dean’s Award. She is board certified in Adult Health and Gerontology. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, the Gerontological Society of America, and the National Conference for Gerontological Nurse Practitioners. Christine enjoys the opportunity to care for patients and families in the office setting, as well as in nursing home facilities.

 
aesthetic Robert R. Davis, CRNP, DC

Bob Davis began his professional education in Health Sciences at West Chester University. After graduation, he went on to earn a Chiropractic Degree and in 1987 he opened a solo practice in the Hatboro-Horsham area where he practiced for several years.  Bob went on to become a Nurse Practitioner after completing a highly accelerated undergraduate degree at Villanova University and a Graduate degree at Gwynedd Mercy College. More recently he completed postgraduate training at the University of Massachusetts. He enjoys working with patients of all backgrounds in the family medical arena, and prides himself on his excellent listening skills and his ability to develop realistic treatment plans that meet individual patient needs and goals. When not working in the office, he enjoys reading, athletics, and spending time with friends and family.
